Auspicious Days

According to Tibetan astrology this year, June 1st is one of the most auspicious days of the year.  When Tashi asked his father to choose the most favorable day for blessings for the Studio, his father was excited and explained, “This is a rare day, to have this many good signs.  The best way I can explain it is that we say, even beggars will find gold coins in the streets on a day such as this.”  And so, with that guidance, Tashi selected June 1st to have the Studio blesses.

The monks from Gyuto Monastery arived at noon, and conducted the pujas of Palden Lhamo.  Upon conclusion, they visited the main lawn at the Barlow and offered blessings, which were attended by Sebastopol’s Mayor, Michael Kyes and family, and several of the Barlow’s earliest tenants.
